While many leaders have the desire for self-development; few find it easy to take a step back from day-to-day operational pressures. Working with a coach is a practical way to find the “headspace” to work out what’s really important to you and what you want to change.
In their book, Rob Goffee and Gareth Jones pose that great question ‘Why should anyone be led by you?’, and then go on to describe effective leadership as “being yourself with skill’. We support that view, and believe that truly authentic leaders manage themselves effectively, and achieve success through their relationships with others and their role modelling of what good leadership looks like.
Our approach to executive coaching is behavioural and goal focused, and recognises the unique nature of every individual, every team, and every organisation. Our success is based on three key elements:
- our coaching is results oriented; always working towards the client doing something different as a result of the coaching
- our clients tell us that we use our business experience effectively to ask powerful questions
- our ability to build trust allows the conversation to get below the surface and creates the opportunity for sustainable change.
